Today the 17th was Norway’s national day so we got dressed up and went out to join the parade, eat cake and ice cream, and listen to marching bands. I got to put on my homemade festdrakt that I made for the occasion; the skirt is a redesign, the vest is made from scratch using brocade and these gold clasps (?), and the blouse was a lucky find at the second hand store! Very happy with how it turned out. If you look closely, the seams are very far from perfect, but still a fun project and practice. 🩷🖤✨️🪡 -M
